Teaching- Evaluation

Evaluation
WWW:
-Good use of questioning to get people involved and nice ideas for starter.
-Good clear teaching on the basics.
-Slide on synergy is good
-Excellent history and clear facts.
-Plenary- Excellent targeted questions to show that learning has taken place.
-Excellent handout- given out at the end so people still had to make notes. Good thinking.

EBI:
-Stater- could be a little more focus.-("Write 3 things you know about the BBC" )
-Could say more much more on synergy - BBC sport is a good example of this.
-Funding is crucial- but have you mentioned the license fee? Yes- good. Good to see the commercial side mentioned too but perhaps could have gone further.
-Go a bit further or discuss more on history.
-Make sure people are not confused.
-Important to make sure there are not any misunderstandings before ending the lesson.

Self-evaluation
From my point of view what went well was that I was able to get the knowledge of the BBC that i had researched across to the class, I was confident and didn't read off the board, and maintained eye contact with the class rather then looking at the handout and reading off that. I covered the base of most of the questions that were given for research. The presentation would of been better I had got the class to get more involved in the starter to set up the presentation. Further more to check with them if they are confused and fix any misunderstandings they may have.
