Target Audience for Existing Products

The Big Bang Theory

The big bang theory has a demographic of adult’s 18-49 year olds [1]; however the show appeals to teenagers aged 16 too. The show appeals to this demographic as the characters are memorable and each has a unique identity. The shows genre is comedy. Also, some of the problems that are on the show can be identified with the teenagers.

Youngers

Youngers audience is aimed at the ‘urban youth’ [2], and an average age of 16 [3].  The show appeals to the teenagers as it is a teenage drama that is portrays problems relating to teenagers in it.
Some Girls

The demographic for some girls is teenager’s most likely girls, as are able to relate to the teenage protagonists in the show, and are able to identify similar problems they have in real life, and make it more realistic.

Becoming Human

The target audience for becoming human is most likely to be people between the ages of 16- 30. This show appeals to them as it is not just an average TV show; it’s a show about a supernatural teen trying to fit in with the norm. The show is a drama and thriller, so it is filled with suspense and a twist.

How I Met Your Mother

The audience for how I met mother is most likely to be similar to the big bang theory audience as they are both on the same channel of E4.  These appeal to the demographic of 18-49 year olds. The show is a comedy based in the past about how a man met his wife and narrates it to his children. The main reason I believe the show is watched is due to the comedic value.
